Steve Weill has been producing projects for over 20 years, working in both New York and LA, creating commercials, network ad campaigns, as well as high-end corporate films.

As Supervising Producer for ABC Entertainment Marketing, Steve produced many of ABC’s on-air network promos including those for Desperate Housewives and Modern Family. Before heading West in the summer of ’07, Steve was Head of Production for Steam Films in New York City, where he created commercials and various film projects for Comcast, Pfizer, Chase, Office Depot, and Sony Ericsson, among others.

Steve began producing film and video projects while still in college. After graduation, Steve joined House Films where he quickly ascended to producing and/or directing scores of local, regional and national commercials, including spots for Little Caesar’s Pizza, Vidal Sassoon, Mennen, GNC and Condé Nast, winning numerous awards including a Gold Medal at the New York Festival for the Art on Film PBS series intro.

Steve went on to produce short films for Saturday Night Live, featurettes and interstitial films for HBO, the award-winning short film Choices, and network campaigns for USA Network, Sci-Fi and WE: Women’s Entertainment for which he won another New York Festival Award among others.

Steve then produced the feature film Game Day, starring Richard Lewis. Game Day was selected for the Nantucket Film Festival, premiered on HBO and was featured in Blockbuster’s Selects program.

Steve launched Steven Weill Productions, Inc. where he oversaw the production of commercials, music videos and industrials throughout the U.S. while expanding into the European market with projects for Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The Steven Weill Productions’ client list included Siemens, Bank Austria, NYPD, ESPN, Jovan, Motown, the Big Brothers Big Sisters 100th Anniversary Film, and the European Summer Job campaign for Marlboro, which was shot throughout the Southwest and featured bull-proof crash boxes, an imported grizzly bear and gorgeous vistas.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys hiking, surfing and heading outside with his family.
